On Sunday 11th March 2007, ColtonMethodistChurch had its own recognition and celebration of Tom Hobbs' 50th anniversary of his Local Preacher ministry, following the presentation of his 50 year certificate at the Circuit Service in January. Tom recalled some amusing incidents and challenging times of his 50 years of preaching. Tom is held in great affection by the members of his home church, Colton, and the Church gave him a very warm and proud affirmation of his distinctive ministry over many years as a Local Preacher.
